Zinc coating for galvanized steel pipe
There are three ways of zinc coatings for galvanized steel pipe specified in commercial or industry area. They are pre-painted, hot-dipped galvanized, and cold-dipped galvanized.
Galvanized steel pipe requires the process of zinc coating. Thus, this kind of tube is totally submerged in molten zinc with the zinc adhering to the inside and outside surfaces. Under this situation, it would performance well for protecting the pipes from corrosion factors. For example, if hot-dipped galvanized steel pipes allow for more of the zinc coating to bond to the steel for a 1.8 oz/ft2 or 2.0 oz/ft2 coating on both the I.D. and the O.D. for a total of 3.6 oz/ft2 or 4.0 oz/ft2, it would have a nice quality for the industry job. Providing extra corrosion resistance would be one of the biggest advantages during wholesale.
