1. What is a boiler steel pipe?
Boiler steel pipes refer to steel materials that are open at both ends and have hollow sections with a large length relative to the surrounding area. According to the production method, they can be divided into seamless steel pipes and welded steel pipes. The specifications of the steel pipes are determined by the external dimensions (such as outer diameter or side length) and Wall thickness is expressed in a wide range of sizes, from capillary tubes with very small diameters to large diameter tubes with diameters of several meters. Steel pipes can be used in pipelines, thermal equipment, the machinery industry, petroleum geological exploration, containers, the chemical industry, and special purposes.

2. Production method of boiler steel pipes
Boiler steel pipe is a type of seamless steel pipe. The manufacturing method is the same as that of seamless steel pipes, but there are strict requirements for the type of steel used in manufacturing steel pipes. According to the operating temperature, it is divided into two types: general boiler steel pipe and high-pressure boiler steel pipe.

The mechanical properties of boiler steel pipes are important indicators to ensure the final performance (mechanical properties) of the steel. It depends on the chemical composition and heat treatment system of the steel. In steel pipe standards, tensile properties (tensile strength, yield strength or yield point, elongation), hardness, and toughness indicators are specified according to different usage requirements, as well as high and low-temperature properties required by users.

① Generally, the operating temperature of boiler steel pipes is below 350°C. Domestic pipes are mainly made of No. 10 and No. 20 carbon steel hot-rolled steel pipes or cold-drawn steel pipes.
② High-pressure boiler steel pipes are often exposed to high temperatures and high-pressure conditions when used. Under the action of high-temperature flue gas and water vapor, the pipes will oxidize and corrode. Steel pipes are required to have high lasting strength, high resistance to oxidation and corrosion, and good structural stability.

3. How to deal with different wall thicknesses of boiler steel pipes
① The thickness of the pipe wall can be thickened or thinned to achieve the required thickness.
② In the case of inconsistent pipe wall thickness, high-strength bolts, and washers can be used to compensate for the inconsistent pipe wall thickness to achieve the required thickness.
③When the pipe wall thickness is inconsistent, welding methods can also be used to compensate to achieve the required thickness.
