15CrMoG seamless steel pipe is an alloy steel pipe widely used in high-temperature and high-pressure environments. In actual use, the welding of 15CrMoG seamless steel pipes requires special attention. Due to the presence of alloying elements such as chromium and molybdenum, cold cracking is easily generated during welding, necessitating appropriate preheating and post-weld heat treatment. Preheating temperatures are generally controlled between 150-200°C, with interpass temperatures not exceeding 300°C. Post-weld tempering at 680-720°C is required to eliminate residual weld stresses. Welding materials should be selected, such as wire or rods that are compatible with the base material, such as E5515-B2. Furthermore, heat input must be controlled during welding to avoid overheating, which can degrade the weld performance.
