ASTM A53 is a standard for welded and seamless steel pipe developed by the American Society for Testing and Materials. 3PE anti-corrosion coating is another outstanding application of ASTM A53 welded steel pipe in the corrosion protection field. The 3PE anti-corrosion coating consists of three layers: a base layer of epoxy powder coating with excellent adhesion and chemical resistance; an adhesive middle layer that connects the base and top layers; and a polyethylene top layer with excellent mechanical properties, weather resistance, and water permeability. This three-layer composite anti-corrosion structure provides comprehensive protection for the steel pipe, effectively resisting corrosion from external factors such as soil, moisture, and microorganisms. It is suitable for pipeline installation in harsh environments such as buried or underwater.
