Industrial seamless steel pipe inspection report

Seamless steel pipe is an important type of steel pipe, and the quality of seamless steel pipe also needs to be focused on. After a seamless steel pipe factory produces a batch of products, it is necessary to conduct a quality inspection. What are the main contents and methods of common seamless steel pipe quality inspection?

The material verification performance inspection and test of seamless steel pipe should include the following contents.

(1) When inspecting seamless steel pipes, if one of the following situations is encountered, a verification inspection should be carried out.

① The certificate does not match the furnace number or steel number of the seamless steel pipe received;

② There is no steel number or furnace number on the steel pipe or label;

③ When the chemical composition or mechanical properties on the certificate are incomplete, the missing items should be tested.

(2) Provisions for verification inspection of seamless steel pipes

① The outer diameter, wall thickness, and length of all seamless steel pipes shall be measured one by one, and their dimensions shall comply with the provisions of relevant standards;

② All seamless steel pipes shall be numbered and their hardness shall be checked one by one;

③ Take one piece of high and one piece of low hardness from each batch of seamless steel pipes, and prepare 5 specimens for each piece, including two for tensile test, two for impact test, and one for flattening or cold bending test. The test methods and evaluation standards shall comply with relevant national regulations.

④ Take samples from seamless steel pipes or test pieces for mechanical property tests for chemical analysis.

When the manufacturer's non-destructive testing certificate is obtained, non-destructive testing shall be carried out for each seamless steel pipe; although there is a non-destructive testing certificate from the manufacturer, if defects are found after appearance inspection, 10% shall be randomly checked for inspection. If there are still unqualified ones, they shall be inspected one by one.
