The corrosion characteristics of steel pipes and the construction and application environment of pipes determine the construction of spiral steel pipes. The anti-corrosion performance of the spiral steel pipe will also affect the economical and maintenance costs.


The anti-corrosion process of the spiral steel pipe has formed a very mature anti-corrosion system according to the different uses and anti-corrosion processes. IPN8710 anti-corrosion and epoxy coal tar pitch are mainly used for water supply and water pipelines. This kind of anti-corrosion generally adopts external epoxy coal tar pitch anti-corrosion and internal IPN 8710 anti-corrosion technology. The process is simple and the cost is low. 3PE anti-corrosion steel pipe and TPEP anti-corrosion steel pipe are generally used for gas transmission and tap water transportation. These two anti-corrosion methods have high performance and a high degree of process automation, but the cost is generally higher than other anti-corrosion processes.


Plastic-coated steel pipe is the most widely used anti-corrosion process at present. The application fields include water supply and drainage, fire sprinkler, and mining. The pipeline anti-corrosion technology is mature, and the anti-corrosion performance and mechanical properties are very strong. And the later maintenance cost is low, the service life is long, and it is gradually recognized and promoted by more and more engineering design units.


Epoxy-coated spiral steel pipe is a semi-solid thermal spraying plastic, usually filled with epoxy resin or polyurethane containing flame retardant, and then heat-treated after coating to obtain good oxidation resistance and wear resistance. of new pipes. Because of its convenient construction, simple construction method, ease of master and use, it is a widely used pipe material in my country. For the selection of the anti-corrosion method of the spiral steel pipe, it is necessary to consider many factors such as the application field, the construction environment, and the cost budget. The steel pipe can be forged with a pressure vessel at the construction site according to the needs, but the construction environment, especially the drying treatment of the construction site, should be paid more attention to.
