Plastic-coated steel pipe is a new type of pipe material recently developed in China. It has a plastic-coated protective layer on the inside and outside, and a composite structure of reinforced welded steel pipe or seamless pressure-bearing steel pipe in the middle, which overcomes the easy rust and corrosion of the steel pipe itself. , high pollution, and the defects of low strength and easy deformation of plastic pipes. It integrates the common advantages of steel pipes and plastic products and is an environmentally friendly product promoted by the country. Plastic-coated steel pipe is a layer of polyethylene (PE) resin, ethylene-acrylic acid copolymer (EAA), epoxy (EP) powder, non-toxic polypropylene (PP) or Steel-plastic composite pipes composed of non-toxic polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and other organic substances not only have the advantages of steel pipes such as high strength, easy connection, and resistance to water flow impact, but also overcome the problem that steel pipes are prone to corrosion, pollution, scaling and other problems when exposed to water. Plastic pipes have shortcomings such as low strength and poor fire protection performance, and their design life can reach 50 years. The main disadvantage is that bending is not allowed during installation. During thermal processing, electric welding, and cutting, the cutting surface should be painted with non-toxic room-temperature curing glue provided by the manufacturer. The main specifications are Φ15-Φ300. To improve the corrosion resistance of steel pipes, general steel pipes are galvanized.

Galvanized steel pipes are divided into two types: hot-dip galvanizing and electro-galvanizing. Hot-dip galvanizing has a thick zinc layer, while electro-galvanizing has a low cost and the surface is not very smooth. Oxygen-blowing welded pipe: used as oxygen-blowing pipe for steelmaking. Generally, small-diameter welded steel pipe is used, with eight specifications ranging from 3/8 to 2 inches. Made of 08, 10, 15, 20, or 195-Q235 steel strips, some need to be aluminized to prevent corrosion. Most of the old houses use galvanized pipes, and the iron pipes used for gas and heating are also galvanized pipes. Galvanized pipes are used as water pipes. After a few years of use, a lot of rust and scale are produced in the pipes, and the yellow water flowing out not only pollutes the Sanitary ware, and mixed with bacteria that breed on the rough inner wall, rust causes excessive heavy metal content in the water, seriously endangering human health. In the 1960s and 1970s, developed countries in the world began to develop new pipes and gradually banned galvanized pipes. China's Ministry of Construction and four other ministries and commissions have also issued documents clarifying that galvanized pipes will be banned from 2000. Currently, galvanized pipes are rarely used in cold water pipes in newly built communities, and hot water pipes in some communities use galvanized pipes.
